We produced the electronic system design for RB Concepts Ltd and it is shown with their permission.
It was required to have radio receivers mounted on wristbands fitted with LEDs to flash those LEDs in certain defined patterns.

The matching transmitter is operated from a computer via a serial data link, either manually or by automatic scripting.
The wristbands respond to the transmitter and flash the LEDs. The flash speeds and patterns are determined
by the transmitter and are not pre-programmed in the receiver to give maximum flexibility in usage.
The over-the-air data packet is a variant on one which has given proven performance on other radio systems we have designed,
being robust against interference and allowing for various options to be introduced if necessary.
The transmitter coverage is suitable for use at large venues, such as the O2 arena in London
as was demonstrated by the recent Coldplay tour which used this system.
